a playful experiment

This collection of oil pastels is an experiment in play and a deviation from my typical works in paint. Mini 4x6” raw edge paper and chunky pastels combined to encourage loose strokes, layered color, and little room for fine detail. Each mark forms an impression of movement and light, offering a fleeting moment of a floral still life that somehow gains clarity with distance.
